Prepare for Your Paris Fashion Week!

Paris Fashion Week is upon us! Of the entire Fashion Month, I most look forward to Paris because it is quite literally the epicenter of fashion! Starting March 8th, the week will close out our month of fashion creativity. This time of year, we are graced with so much inspirational content from our favorite influencers, and are overwhelmed with the expression of dress. I always commend the influencers who travel all of Fashion Month, yet still look so put together and chic. Fashion in Paris has no rules, but most appreciated are classic silhouettes, textiles, and color palettes.
Instagram Inspiration for Your Paris Feed!
Everyday Parisian fashion is very tasteful and luxurious. Influencers that flood our Instagram feeds and advertisements never fail to make us feed so underdressed, even if they are not wearing anything essentially "special" or different. In Paris, staple garments like a classic pair of denim, crisp white tops, and leather footwear are everywhere, but the key to standing out is a perfect staple coat. Influencers can be wearing the most simple, basic outfit, but a coat can add so many visual elements that transform the look. The secret to elevating any outfit worthy of Paris Fashion Week is all within the coat.

If you want to start dressing like an influencer in Paris, there is no need to stress. In Paris, make the look around your perfect staple coats and jackets. I have observed that the weather in Paris calls for overcoats and trench coats. These elongate the body and are perfect for layering. Typically, these coats are extremely versatile. They can be worn with almost any simple outfit and add that touch of class and completion. One of my favorites is a classic black wool overcoat. Thrown over any outfit, this makes one look like a Parisian model off-duty, just like the influencers. This will also never go out of style, and be a garment that can be worn for any occasion, dressed up or down. Investing in a well-made overcoat is essential for anyone looking to go to Paris, or surrounding European countries. It is also ideal to stay within a neutral color palette as this garment is the largest being worn and you do not want it to be too busy. This also adds to versatility and trendiness.

Next, I am a very big fan of myself. Large fur coats, like the one your grandmother has stored away in her closet for ages, are in! In Paris, fur is a neutral. It is chic, timeless, classy, and luxurious. Especially done on a large overcoat, fur is such a statement, and can make any outfit look expensive. There are many different styles of fur that one can wear to obtain the elegance of an old-money Parisian. You can never go wring with a classic, long fur coat, but more recently a fur-trimmed "penny lane" style has been all over Instagram. Personally, I love this style. It is so fun and expensive looking, but I also feel it is a bit younger feeling than a full fur. Fur-trimmed coats have been on the rise, meaning they should be all over Fashion Week, and especially Paris. Prove them you know what is in! These furs also do not have to be real. There are extraordinary faux fur textiles that are being more widely produced nowadays compared to real fur. Whichever style of fur one chooses, they will always look chic, while making a statement. You will also look like an immediate influencer!
