New York is known as one of the, if not the most famous, fashion capital of the world. There is so much creativity in New York that many people find themselves influenced by it. Instagram like any other social media outlet is undoubtedly the place where we spend hours scrolling through our favorite influencers feed to see what they are wearing. Influencers usually post regularly about fashion, makeup, skincare, etc, on their favorite social media channels. As a result, they attract a huge following of engaged people who are interested in their fashion style. Because social media influencers have the ability to create trends and engage their followers, brands are interested in working with them.

In case you haven't noticed, fashion influencers have one thing in common: they're rocking the latest trends. A very trendy piece throughout the Fall/Winter season has been the denim maxi skirt, influenced by 90s fashion. These influencers have been showcasing the denim maxi skirt through their posts, pairing them with crop tees, leather bombers, and staple boots. The maxi became a popular choice within a matter of days, as seen in many of our social media feeds. It is even becoming a more fashionable alternative to denim jeans. The denim maxi skirt is a trans-seasonal staple that is worth investing in, and can be worn year-round no matter the season.
